Well I got my first car, a 2008 Camry Hybrid.
My grandpa purchased it from his millionaire boss mid last year, and used it as an alternative to his SUV (Mazda CX-9) until I was ready.
I got my Ontario G2 license a few months ago, and today my Grandpa offered to pay for my insurance until I get a job. So I've been added to his insurance.
The car is very messy and needs alot of cleaning though, there is stale old bread in the backseats...

You should feed the bread to the Canadian Geese.
Get it, because you're Canadian.

Now you just need to replace that hybrid engine with something like an LS engine, or maybe a diesel, and then pop a manual tranny in it (I'm assuming it's an automatic) and you'll be good to go

Same key as my brz.... Not sure if I'm happy about that. But either way, keyless is great.

Congrats! I hope this is one of those "car is now heavier but also a little bit faster" type of hybrids. Either way, it's something to get you started and I'm sure it's comfortable, which when you're just beginning can be very helpful. My first car was an '84 Chrysler 5th Avenue and although it had a V8 and rear wheel drive, it truly sucked to drive. No air conditioning... in Florida... in the summer. And whenever it rained (very often) the wipers only worked for 2 or 3 strokes before the bushings would get bound up and stop. Also the windows were shorted out until only a month before I sold it. It was a sweat lodge on wheels.

0-60 time is an hour, but once it kicks in, its actually a little quick.

Well that's good. It's good to have something that you can at least accelerate out of trouble if need be. It may get faster as you drive it more as well. When I first got my Miata it felt slow and it's still not exactly fast but I've learned its quirks enough to take advantage of them now rather than them holding me back. I'm guessing it's an auto, so you'll probably eventually have it down to muscle memory as far as how much to kick the pedal to get it to downshift. That's how my previous cars were.

Yeah, I'm used to driving my moms '06 Civic and my Grandma's '12 Mazda3. Both are light and quick, compared to the Camry, so the Camry feels slow and bulky, but i'm getting used to it.

Just saw your post now surprisingly! I also own a Camry (04 V6, hence the name), and I'm also in Ontario.
Feel free to join Camry Nation, a group of guys and gals with love for the cars. We have every variety of taste in the group, from slammed to turboed, and souped-up.
